Eulimidae: Melanella augur  (Angas, 1865) ('large urchin-snail')

Typical shell-length 15 mm.  Lives subtidally as an internal parasite of sea-urchins.  Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).  In Tasmanian waters, this is a common species in the N; rare or absent further S.
